The mental jukebox.

I often mention the songs that find themselves stuck in my head, although I don’t think I’ve ever fully explained just how constant my mental jukebox can be. So as an experiment, I took note of every song that rattled its way through my brain while I was at my day job today (and limited myself to those eight hours). What follows is a trip through my brain, in order of musical appearance. Sadly, today was what I consider a slow day. Yikes.

Some earworms are more devious than others.

In case you’re wondering, Bono to George Clinton to Neil Diamond to Weird Al is the sort of whiplash my brain delivers all the time.

In case you’re wondering again, Law and Order was my commute-to-work listen-to this morning.

An appropriate end to the day. Or it would’ve been, if not for…

This last one, I hardly know, and like less. But I have to be honest and include it. My lame excuse: We’re running a heap of Grammys promos at work, and, well, there you go.
